Pearman and his Bn. disembarked at Devonport, England. He marched in to the Australian Army Medical Corps (AAMC) Training Depot at Parkhouse 12.1.1917. Pearman was transferred to the 3rd Australian General Hospital at Brighton. He embarked for duty on the No.1 Hospital Ship 3.7.1917. He was diagnosed with heart problems and listed for early return to Australia as invalid.
Embarked for Australia per HS ‘Karoola’ 18.8.1917.
Returned/Disembarked 18.1.1918.
Discharged 29.11.1917.

Notes Pearman died 22.6.1919 at the No.8 Australian General Hospital Fremantle. His wife Estella Margaret died six months later in child birth 23.8.1919. The children were left destitute, 3 went to the Parkerville Waifs' Home, 2 went to a Mr. W. Whimpey of 58 East Street, and the infant was boarded out(fostered). (The Swan Express 24.10.1919) Pearman was not eligible for a Victory Medal as he had not served in active service in a theatre of war with his Bn. His brother? lived at 9 Shenton Avenue, Guildford. WA
