Munday was underage and received his father’s permission to enlist.
Embarked Albany per SS ‘Port Darwin’ for Egypt 8.5.1918.

Munday disembarked at Suez with his Corps 7.6.1918. He transferred to Alexandria and embarked per ‘Port Darwin’ for England 3.7.1918. He disembarked at Southampton 16.7.1918 and marched in to Army Supply Column Details 16.7.1918. He transferred to the 10th Australian Supply Column at Boyton 28.8.1918 and was posted to the 5th Division Training School as a Private 10.7.1919. Munday was listed for return to Australia.

Returned/Disembarked Melbourne 16.2.1920.

Notes Munday resided at Guildford State School as an infant where his father was Head Master from 1898-99. His father resigned due to ill health and was succeeded by Mr. J. A. Miles (DN 13.4.1899). His father J.H. Munday was a Captain of the Guildford Infantry, West Australian Defence Force (Western Mail 10.4.1896) and became a Major in the Armed Services. Lieut. Colonial. The family moved to their home at 21 Market Street, Guildford in 1900 from the home in Victoria Street.(West Australian Newspaper 24.8.1899)
Munday did not serve in a theatre of war prior to Nov 30th 1918 and was not eligible for a Victory Medal.
