Meyer disembarked at Suez with FAB 12.12.1917. He joined the BEF and embarked at Alexandria for England 18.12.1917.
Meyer disembarked at Taranto, Italy and re embarked for England. He disembarked at Southampton 4.1.1918. Meyer marched in to Training Camp at Heytesbury 4.1.1916. He proceeded overseas with his Unit to Rouelles France 18.7.1918 as Gunner with 2nd Australian Divisional Ammunition Corps (DAC). He was taken on Strength in the Field with the 2nd DAC 30.7.1918. Meyer transferred to the 4th Field Artillery Bde. (FAB) 21.9.1918. He transferred to the 5th FAB 15th Bty. 27.9.1918. Meyer was appointed Driver 10.2.1919. He was transferred to the 4th FAB 31.3.1919. Meyer took leave and rejoined his unit with the 15th Bty 13.4.1919. He marched out from France for England, for demobilisation 15.5.1919. Meyer marched in to Sutton Veny to await his return to Australia.
