ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The Guildford Association would like to acknowledge the many people who have assisted with the development of this site and apologise for any omissions of names of persons or agencies.

In particular, we wish to acknowledge the Australian Federal Government's Anzac Centenary Local Grants Program, which enabled the Guildford Anzac project to be developed through their most generous grant. We thank the Department of Veteran's Affairs who administered this grant, and Mr Ken Wyatt, Federal Member for Hasluck who has provided  assistance to the Guildford Association Inc. Without their support this project  could not have been completed.

We would like to acknowledge the staff of the National Archives of Australia, the Australian War Museum, the State Records Office WA in particular to Mr. Peter Di Marco, Staff of the Library Services of Western Australia in particlular Ms. Zofia Carter, The Imperial War Museum Archives, London and Mrs Rosemary Waller, Archivist with Guildford Grammar School.

To the many families of the Anzac soldiers who have contributed photographs, records and other information, people too numerous to mention, we thank you for helping us honour your Anzac and the town and homes where they attended, worshipped, were educated or lived. We thank the homeowners and Honour Roll and War Memorial trustees who have agreed to participate in the project and the wider Guildford community for their  ongoing support and encouragement through the development of the study from concept to website and walk trail.

The Guildford Association’s research team was led by Mrs. Barbara Dundas and included Mrs. Beth McKechnie, Miss Rachel Squire, Mrs. Kathryn Stephenson and Ms. Caroline Truda. Photographic work of the Anzac Homes was undertaken by Mr. Sheldon Levis, Mrs. Liz Marcus,  Mr. Cameron Mart and Mrs. Barbara Dundas.

This project has been developed  with beautiful Poppy Plaques created  by graphic designer Ms. Steph. Holmes and presented to the many residents of Guildford. The brass plaques were produced by Mr Phil Auty of Precision Badges.

The IT team included Mr. Andrew J. Holmes who worked on the data base and provided the early advice and support. Appreciation is also extended to Mr. Malcolm Bull and his team at Spring Web Solutions, for bringing this project through the design stages to its conclusion. They have created a wonderful, interactive experience for young and old, for the researcher, student, resident and visitor.

To all the above people we thank you for your support and co-operation in the development of this project, to honour the servicmen and women of Guildford from the First World War.
