Embarked Fremantle Per HMAT ‘Anchises’ A68 for Egypt 2.9.1915.

Sharp disembarked in Egypt. It is not recorded if he saw active service. Sharp was admitted to Hospital at Helouan with mental breakdown 5.10.1915. He was transferred to the No.1 Auxiliary Hospital Cairo with a debility 5.10.1915. Sharp was transferred to the No.1 Auxiliary Hospital at Helouan with dysentery 15.3.1916. Sharp was transferred to the Convalescent Hospital at Heliopolis. He was reported as unfit for active service and was listed for return to Australia for 3 months ‘change’.
Embarked Suez for Australia per HT ‘Runic’ 11.4.1916.
Returned/Disembarked Melbourne 12.5.1916.
Discharged 20.5.1916 permanently unfit.
