Military History
Embarked Fremantle per ‘Clan MacCorquodale’ for Egypt 13.2.1917.
Roll Rank Trooper/Private.
Roll Unit 10th Light Horse Regiment, 24th Reinforcements.
Lefroy disembarked at Suez and marched in to Details Camp at Moascar 12.3.1917. He transferred to the 10th Light Horse 22.4.1917. Lefroy was taken on strength 24.4.1917 and served with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force (EEF). He was transferred to the Desert Mounted Corps Rest Camp 2.2.1918 and returned to his Regiment 22.4.1918. Lefroy was transferred to the 3rd Battalion Headquarters at Zagazig 9.6.1919. He marched in to Moascar 1.7.1919 and was listed for return to Australia.
Embarked Kantara per ‘Oxfordshire’ for return to Australia 18.7.1919.
Returned/Disembarked Fremantle 4.8.1919.
Discharged 11.9.1919.
Final Rank Trooper/ Private 10th Light Horse.

Notes Lefroy was the son of Henry Gerald and Emily (nee Paley) Lefroy. He was one of fourteen children. His brother Jeffery Lefroy also served in WW1 (SN 29541)
